Fishing:
Canyon Ferry Lake/Holter Lake/Hauser: It’s not ice fishing time yet so we’ll keep chatting about open water. For Walleye, try trolling a crawling harness tipped with a night crawler behind a bottom bouncer or try jigging for them a bit deeper—look for deep structures. Trout fishing is doing well, try trolling near southern shore near the damn with a down rigger and some cowbells or beercans with a spoon and crawler trailing behind. With colder weather and water temps starting to drop I’d recommend thinking about fishing a bit deeper.

Missouri River: As temperatures are dropping we’re seeing some changes to our go to fly patterns. BWOs and Caddis are the best bet if you’re throwing dry flies—however, the amount of dry flies are dwindling and not producing like they were just a few weeks back. Nymphing is a good option but make sure to bring your Zebras, BWO nymphs, San Juans, Caddis pupas, Czechs and split shot and fish a bit deeper with the colder water and flows around 4.5k you need to make sure you’re getting down to the fish.
