Twas the Night before Christmas: A Fur Shed Tale

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the fur shed,

Creatures were not stirring, because they were already dead.

Coyote, wolf and bobcat hides were all hung to dry,

Dan Helterline, rocking the trapping world–what a talented guy!

We stopped by his shop, with whiskey in tow,

He explained a few things that we didn’t know.

From brushing and borax to hanging and drying,

The fur is put up for the people who are buying.

Alexis was there, doing a project of her own,

Watch for her class, teaching with a youth trapper tone!

There aren’t a lot of places that I would rather hang out,

And learning from the best, is what it’s all about.

Watch the MORS site for Dan’s upcoming class,

It is in mid-January and will be a total blast.

It’s awesome to have mentors who take the time to show

Methods and processes for those who don’t know.

Thank you to Dan for taking your time,

To help fellow sportsmen at the drop of a dime.

Ending this poem, whether you hunt, fish or trap,

Merry Christmas from the MORS crew and our fearless leader, Cap!
