Montana BLM has just acquired 300 acres along the Madison River to create a new “Walk in Access”. The property is off Highway 287 across from the Wall Creek Wildlife Management Area. The surrounding land is also a part of conservation easements.

Originally part of the Robison Ranch, Roger Lang and the Nature Conservancy purchased this land in 2000. The parcel price is $1.025 million, which will be paid by the BLM.

Having land that is accessible to the public is so important. Much of our public lands are surrounded by private, no trespassing property. This stretch of the Madison is a wonderful area to fish and hunt.

Long term solutions to protect and conserve our wild places benefits people and nature.

Enjoy, preserve, and protect!
