Everett Headley, of the Bitterroot valley, found himself a dandy.  “A three-hour cat and mouse game ended with an arrow at 60 yards,” Headley stated on social media with his picture.

A humbling addition to his post included this:

A prayer for us all, from a hunting Jesuit:
May the Lord God make you an honorable hunter who respects fellow hunters, the animals, and all creation;
May He keep safe you and all who share the field or the forest;
May He make all hunters proud of their kill, generous with their meat, and thankful in all circumstances.

Thank you for sharing, Everett, and what a beautiful bird!
