Grizzly Hackle gives the Clark Fork River a 2/5 for fishing.

It looks like the Clarkfork has dropped into fishable shape.  It’s still big and off color, but very fishable.  You’ll want to mainly concentrate on nymphing any slow walking speed water like inside bends with drop offs.  San Juans, Double Bead Stones, Rubberlegs, Tungsten Sallies, PT’s and Copper Johns are all good options right now.  Dead drifting streamers like Zirdles, Sparkle Minnows, Zonkers and Silvey’s Sculpins are another great option.
