From MT FWP on social media:
Do you have thoughts on fishing regulations for your favorite fishing spot? FWP is currently collecting comments on considered regulation changes. There are several ways to submit comments. Perhaps the easiest is to take the online survey on the FWP website at https://buff.ly/2HhFRRC. You can also email comments to fwpRegs20@mt.gov, or mail comments to Fisheries Regulations, PO Box 200701, Helena, MT 59620. If you have ideas you’d like the department to consider, please include the waterbody, the problem that needs to be addressed, and how a regulation change may address the fisheries issue. FWP is taking comments through June 21. The department will compile public comments and use this input to craft tentative regulation proposals to present to the Fish and Wildlife Commission at its August 15 meeting.
How does the department handle regulations on “off-cycle” years (meaning years between the 4-year reviews)? We’ll discuss that on a future Fisheries Friday!
