Billings Man Still Paddling at Age 87 (by Brett French)

Adventure seeker Harrison Fagg is still going strong at age 87. In June he paddled a kayak down the Smith River. Let’s hope we’re all still getting out at his age. Harrison has long been active in the outdoors, starting out helping his uncle horse pack into the Beartooth Mountains as a teen. Later he took to backpacking with a vengeance and would sometimes tally up 300 miles a summer roaming alpine areas like the Beartooths. Now unable to do the long hauls, he still enjoys nature in different ways.

Read more about his recent trip down the Smith River in my story in the Billings Gazette. https://billingsgazette.com/outdoors/still-paddling-at-billings-man-kayaks-smith-river/article_cb6f7e0e-17ae-52b4-b67c-f06f283ffadd.html
