Fishing is certainly a wonderful metaphor for how we want to live our lives. One more cast, or choice, could hook you up. We never catch enough fish or success. Rules, limits, and regulations define the best way to get Catching. Fishing is best when shared.
Fishing is more than catching a fish. We fish because we need to relax. The sounds, feel, and smell of nature revitalizes us. Our minds process and mull over life’s challenges. With some luck, we come with a new idea, perspective, better attitude, or dinner.
My Dad taught me to “expect a bite on every cast”. If you don’t, what is the point of casting? Sometimes the worst casts produce the biggest fish or BEST outcomes. The worst day fishing is better than working. If you are not fishing, you will not catch anything.
Dreaming is something we all do. In those quiet moments along the shoreline, water is flowing by. Like opportunity, it comes, and it goes. Once you have a dream, figure out how to make it come true. Take another cast and reel in a big one.
