Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks and the Montana Natural Heritage Program are partnering with Gates of the Mountains Boat Tours to provide bat tours throughout the month of August.
Wildlife biologists from FWP will be on board to talk about the bats. The boat will travel to the middle of the upper canyon, where participants can watch the bats exit the canyon to forage for insects. Participants are encouraged to bring flashlights to light up the bats on their way out of the canyon.
Tours depart at 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 15, 21, 22, and 23. Tour fair is $10. For more information or to register visit www.gatesofthemountains.com.
