Electronic bicycles are a great new way to commute, or ride along a closed Forest Service road to reach a backcountry elk hunting spot. The bikes aren’t electric motorcycles. Instead they have a motor that helps the rider pedal, making going up hills or into the wind so much easier. And they are as quiet as a bicycle. Many of the bike shops in Montana have rentals if you want to try one out. It’s the most fun I’ve had on a bike in a long time.
To learn more about them, check out my story in this week’s Billings Gazette at https://billingsgazette.com/outdoors/.
