Hunter Education courses still available in Region 7

There are still a couple of Hunter Education courses available in Region 7 prior to the general hunting season. See the information below for details on these free courses. Students must be 10 years old by the first day of class. To register, visit the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks website at fwp.mt.gov, click on the Education tab, select Hunter Education and scroll down to Hunter Education Programs. There may be other courses scheduled later in the year, so interested people should check back for availability.

HUNTER EDUCATION

TERRY

Aug. 26-30

Class will run from 6-8 p.m. each day at the Terry High School study hall room, top floor. Enrollment is limited to 25 students. Call instructor Jeremy Fowler at 406-486-5012.

EKALAKA

Oct. 5-6

Class will run from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. both days at the Carter Event Center in Ekalaka, 209 West Speelmon St. Class size limit is 15 students. The field day will be Sunday. Students should dress appropriately for the weather and for hunting conditions. No online students will be accepted. Contact instructor Bud Powell to arrange book pickup before class at 406-775-6239 or pick up books at the Wagon Wheel Café. Read and complete the chapter quizzes before class begins.
