Wishing on a star is part of caring for a sick dog. The Dog Star is a good one to reflect upon. To see Magnum, you would never know he has cancer.
We changed his diet to a raw food diet. He is now eating better, taking his meds, no pee issues, and the bump on his nose has seemed to be slowing down. He has a twinkle in his eye that was dimming. Mag is still fast, and always on the hunt.
We are also rubbing some CBD oil onto his nose bump. Hopefully the receptors are reacting and killing the cancer cells. Dogs are resilient.
Magnum has become a master of not taking his pills. If he sees, smells, or tastes a bitter pill, out it comes. Peanut butter works some of the time. A dab of peanut butter on a cookie usually works. Taking the meds out of the capsule helps. Using ground beef helps. Pill pods work sometimes. The herbal based pills seem to be the most distasteful.
Other than the bump on his nose, Magnum seems fine. We are not sure what the future is but for now, Magnum is still on point!
