$75 million for road construction, has been designated for Yellowstone Park next year. Anyone that has visited the Park in the past knows that the crowds and oversized vehicles have put great stress on the Parks roads and infrastructures.

3 Road projects are planned for 2020. The Pelican Creek Bridge is to be replaced. 6 miles of road work, for the North Entrance area will begin. 6 more miles of roadwork near Tower falls will also start. The Fishing Bridge will also get a tune up.

The Pelican Bridge alone will cost 22 million to replace. Other jobs are still out for bids. The Parks backlog of repairs and improvements exceeds $586 million.

All the park’s roads will be closed, later this week, for the winter. Preparations for the winter season will begin. Work and maintenance in the park impact the flow of visitors and crowds. This requires additional planning, preparations, and management.

The Park officials are excepting public comments and suggestions.
