The hunting of mountain lions in several Montana hunting districts in Regions 1, 2 & 3 will close on Friday, Jan. 3, 2020.
Male mountain lions:
- HD 120 – which includes portions Flathead and Lincoln Counties.
Female mountain lions:
- HD’s 280, 281, 284, 293 & Portion of 298 (E) East of State Route 141- which includes portions of Powell and Lewis & Clark counties,
- HD 317– which includes portions of which includes portions of Park County.
All mountain lions:
- HD’s 313 and 316, including portions of Park, Carbon and Sweet Grass counties.
The closure notices for the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota or sub-quota for the districts has been met.
