Mountain lion hunting to close in HD’s in Regions 1, 2 & 3

The hunting of mountain lions in several Montana hunting districts in Region’s 1, 2 and 3 will close at one-half hour after sunset on Saturday, February 8, 2020:

Close to hunting of male mountain lions:

  • HD 121 – which includes portions of Sanders county.

Close to hunting of all mountain lions:

  • HD 132 – which includes portions of Flathead & Lake counties

Closed to hunting of male mountain lions:

  • HD 240 – which includes portions of Missoula & Ravalli counties

Closed to hunting of all mountain lions:

  • HD 331 – which includes portions of Beaverhead, Silver Bow and Madison counties.

The closure notice for the hunts came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota or sub-quota for the district(s) had been met.
