Echo Lake
Bass fishing has been good. Most of the reports are saying they are hanging about 10ft down. Try a drop shot for some good luck.

Flathead Lake
Whitefish bite has picked up a little more. Most action has been on the North West shore. Lake Trout are biting in deeper water, about 70ft down. Having the best luck trolling with cut plugs (don’t forget your maple sausage).

Flathead River
Dry Flies and spinners have been working well for the Trout. Fly fisherman use your Hoppers or Purple Haze. Spin fishermen use those Panther Martin or Mepps for your best chances.

Hungry Horse Reservoir
Kamloopers are still your best bet to catch some big Trout from the boat. If you are fishing from the shore, use salmon eggs for bait or spinners to cast out.

Thompson Chain
Bass fishing has been good. Use chatterbaits and drop shots. Pike fishing has been decent. Try white spinnerbaits for the best luck. If you want to catch some Perch, grab some leeches.

Ashley & Bitterroot Lakes
Troll your Kokanee flies or jig with Swedish Pimples and a glow hook tied about a foot down tipped with white corn. You can also use your maggots for the Salmon.

Blanchard Lake
For those Pike get out your white spinnerbaits for the best luck. Use Pete’s Crappie Candy for your panfish like Crappie.
