411 CFS @Gateway- The Gallatin River continues to be a great walk wade option as we get further into October. Your best bet to get into fish is nymphing at this time. Big stonefly nymphs trailed by a copper john or lighting bug will get the job done. We are seeing some Baetis out but really need some cool cloudy weather to make them pop.

446 CFS @Gateway- The Gallatin continues to be a great option going into fall. Most of the fish are being caught on stonefly nymphs trailed by a mayfly nymph or soft hackle. The streamer fishing has been good and have been landing some nicer browns. Dry fly fishing has been hit or miss with better action coming on cloudy days.
