Bill would allow license-free fishing on Mother’s Day weekend

The famed Mother’s Day Caddis Hatch might soon arrive in time for another reason for celebration: free fishing for mom!

The Montana legislative session begins Monday, and one of the bills proposed by Democrat Pat Flowers of Belgrade would allow anglers to fish without a license on both Mother’s Day and Father’s Day weekends.

The free Father’s Day weekend has been in place for several years in Montana.
