Firefighter based out of West Yellowstone injured in New Mexico

A Wyoming firefighter based out of West Yellowstone was injured while fighting a fire near the U.S.-Mexico border, AP reports.

“Tim Hart of Cody, Wyoming, was injured Monday following a hard landing after parachuting into rocky terrain in the Animas Mountains,” the report states.

It identifies Hart as a three-year veteran of the crew.

He was in critical condition in a hospital in El Paso.
