Grizzly Hackle scores Rock Creek a 4/5 for fishing as of October 1st:

We love Rock Creek in the fall! Fishing has been good and if you’re up for walking a little ways for driving a way you can get away from the crowds. Dry fly fishing has been good, but look for the cloudy days to be the best days. Mahoganies and BWO’s are coming off and should for the next few weeks at least. Sz 14 for the Mahoganies and sz 18-20 for the BWO’s. If the fish aren’t coming up a Hopper/Dropper with an October Caddis, BWO or Mahogany nymph will get you into them. Streamer fishing has been good with smaller Brown/Yellow, White or Olive streamer like JJ Specials, Skiddish Smolts and Lil’ Kim’s.
