Post cards never lie! They must be real to be so popular. The photographs have to be legit! Its fun sending pictures of great fish that have been caught in our favorite places.
The truth is that fishermen often lie about the size and numbers of their catch while bragging about their biggest fish. Fishermen are also gullible. That’s just the nature of fishing and fishermen. It always comes down to size, length, girth, numbers, and oh remember we are talking about fish!
Over the years we have all seen post cards brag and invite fishermen to the Glory Holes, states, lakes, or Honey Holes. I am sure that most lakes have produced some great fish.
Big Fish that barely fit into the boat or back of a truck are every fisherman’s dream. Huge fish strapped to the side of a horse. Fish bigger than most fishermen are what we dream about. Post cards simply make the dreams stay alive!
A picture is worth 1000 words!
