The Stevensville Ranger District has an update on the current climbing closure in Mill Creek. The north side of the canyon is now open for climbing. The south side of the canyon will remain closed for now to allow for continued nesting of cliff-dwelling raptors.
Updated maps have been posted at area trailheads. Thank you for your continued support of this closure to prevent disturbance to these known and occupied nesting sites! If you have questions or would like more information, please contact the Stevensville Ranger District at 406-777-5461 or visit https://www.fs.usda.gov//activity/bitterroot/recreation/climbing.
