All successful black bear hunters must personally report their black bear harvest within 48 hours. Successful hunters are required to provide Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks personnel with the hunter’s name, telephone number, ALS number, Bear Management Unit (BMU), county, sex, and the township range and section (TRS) of the harvest.
