Big Sky State Games triathlon moved to Billings Heights because of flood

BILLINGS – Access to the boat ramp and trail around Lake Elmo State Park will be restricted to Big Sky State Games athletes from 8 p.m. Saturday, June 25, through noon Sunday June 26.

The state games’ 406 Race Series triathlon was moved to Lake Elmo State Park from Cooney State Park because of flooding in Carbon County. Organizers will set up Saturday evening for the swimming, bicycling and running race. The race will be run on the trail around Lake Elmo and in the water, leaving from the boat ramp, Sunday morning.

After setup and during the race, access to the state park’s trail and boat ramp will be restricted to the athletes.
