Advisory: In the hunting forecast press release package sent out earlier this week, there were a few incorrect dates.
In the press release “Be sure before you shoot: 5 tips for archery hunting success,” there was an incorrect date. The general archery season begins on Sept. 3.
In the 2022 Big Game Hunting Seasons and Upland Game Bird Season date listings, the dates are as follows:

If the department does not select a date prior to Dec. 31, then the season will open on Dec. 31 and close on March 15.
