Fresno has 6”- 8” of ice. Jig fishing off the points for walleye is good. Best depth is 10’-15’ using jigging raps and forage minnows tipped with a minnow head. Salted minnows on tip ups are also working in the same area. First lake south of Havre is iced over and perch fishing is good on perch jigs tipped with wax worms. Best depth is 25’. Ice depth is 4”-6”. Nelson has 10”-12” of ice. Walleye fishing is good along the weed lines using live minnows. Best depth is 10’-15’. Call Sleeping Buffalo for bait availability. Try a minnow head on the treble hook of your jigging raps for more bites.
