Fresno has 15” and more ice. Walleye and northern fishing is good along and on the main lake points and far up on the north end of the lake. Tip ups with salted minnows are working. Best fishing time is low light and dark times. Far north don’t be afraid to fish 1 & 2’ of water. People are picking up some nice perch and crappies while jigging the basin areas.  Nelson also has a lot of ice. Walleye fishing has slowed a bit, but many fish are being caught in 15’ to 30’ of water on tip ups. There are some nice northern being speared. Perch fishing is improving in the deeper basins jigging. Remember to be ware around pressure ridges and gas pockets for unsafe ice.
