Bozeman, MT June 5, 2023 – Kathy Nash, the Team Lead for the Custer Gallatin National Forest East Side Land Zone, was honored with the respected Director’s Award at the Annual Regional Lands meeting held on May 16th, 2023. Her exceptional leadership, unwavering positivity, and remarkable ability to motivate and inspire her team were key factors that led to her selection as a recipient of this esteemed accolade.

Kathy’s peers recognized her outstanding contributions by nominating her for this award. Her unparalleled communication skills, exceptional decision-making abilities, and determination have played a pivotal role in navigating successful land adjustment projects. Despite time constraints, Kathy has always made a point to engage with her team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.

One of Kathy’s notable achievements has been spearheading the initiative to organize and digitize land adjustment files throughout the entire zone. The Annual Regional Lands meeting, held in Ennis, acknowledged a total of four Special Achievement awards: Reality Specialists for the East and West Side Lands Zones and Survey Technician for the East Side Lands Zone.
