Registration for the Fort Peck Salmon Derby opens Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Mountain Time, and teams planning to compete should be ready with their information before the registration window goes live.
Tournament registration will be handled through the Glasgow Area Chamber of Commerce website at glasgowchamber.net. This is only place you can register.
To complete registration, each team must include two individuals on the form: a team captain and one team member.
Organizers say the following information will be required for both the team captain and the listed team member:
- Name
- Social Security Number
- Contact information
- Date of birth
- Last digits of ALS number
According to tournament organizers, Social Security numbers are required because of the size of potential payouts and IRS reporting requirements.
Collecting that information during registration is intended to make the payout process faster and smoother, especially for winning teams. Organizers say the information will be submitted through a secure and encrypted form.
Teams that already know their full roster can enter all team member information during registration. For those still finalizing their lineup, partner changes may be made at no cost until May 1.
In addition to participant information, organizers are also requiring several pieces of safety-related information because of the unpredictable conditions at Fort Peck.
Required safety details include:
- Boat manufacturer
- Motor manufacturer
- Motor horsepower
- Tow vehicle make
Tournament staff say that information helps officials and emergency responders identify boats and vehicles if needed.
Registration opens Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Mountain Time, and organizers expect spots to fill quickly.
Anglers planning to compete are encouraged to lock in their team, choose a captain, and start preparing their strategy for chasing Fort Peck kings this year.
