Monster Chinook Salmon Caught by Young Angler at Fort Peck

Monster Chinook Salmon Caught by Young Angler at Fort Peck

In quite an angling achievement at Fort Peck, young Cooper Green has landed a monster 23-pound Chinook salmon, confirming the depth and quality of this fishery highlighted in the initial catch-point report. Fishing the deep-water of the reservoir, Cooper, pictured here in the photo above, proved his skills by bringing this massive 23-pound chinook salmon to the surface.

This remarkable catch further solidifies Fort Peck as a premier destination for trophy trout and salmon. With this trophy officially checked off his bucket list, Cooper’s multi-species conquest on these waters is complete, setting an incredibly high bar for young anglers across the Big Sky State.

Editor’s note: Corrected an inaccurate fishery description ("big game trout") to "trophy trout."
