(White Sulphur Springs, M.T., Aug. 17, 2026) – The Belt Creek–White Sulphur Springs Ranger District of the Helena–Lewis and Clark National Forest will accept applications for 13 extended hunting camp permits this fall. Permits are available for five camps in Nugget Creek, five in Geis Creek, and three in Deadman.
These extended-stay permits allow hunters to stay beyond the standard 16-day occupancy limit. Permits apply only during the general rifle season, which runs from Oct. 24 through Nov. 29, 2026.
Applications will be authorized on a first-come, first-served basis until all 13 permits have been issued. The Belt Creek–White Sulphur Springs Ranger District will accept applications from September 1 through Sept. 15, 2026. To be considered, applications must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 15, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.
