Plan to protect California spotted owl proposes killing 470,000 other owls

The newest proposal to protect the  California spotted owl includes a plan to kill 470,000 barred owls in the Pacific Northwest.

Trained shooters would kill the non-native barred owls with shotguns over the next three decades.
