FWP looking to hire a full-time position in the Plentywood area

Mar-03-26 by Angela Montana

If you’ve ever said, “I just want a job where I can be outside,” this might be the one you’ve been waiting for. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is hiring a full-time, boots-on-the-ground position based in the Plentywood area — and it’s basically a greatest-hits tour of outdoor work. One day you’re helping campers at Brush Lake State Park, the next you’re mowing, fixing fences, cleaning up fishing access sites, or making sure things run smoothly for hunters during the fall season. It’s part recreation ranger, part maintenance pro, part hunting access tech — and 100% fresh air.

This role comes with full benefits (health, leave, retirement) and is perfect for someone who wants their office to be northeastern Montana’s wide-open spaces. You’ll need to live in Plentywood or nearby, bring a strong work ethic, and be ready for variety — from leading educational programs and managing reservations to installing signage and working with landowners during hunting season. Applications are due by March 15 at 11:59 p.m., and you’ll need to submit a cover letter and references. If working where others vacation — and hunt — sounds like your kind of gig, this could be your next adventure.
