The 39th Annual Montana Governor’s Cup Walleye Tournament is officially on the horizon, and now’s the time to mark your calendar. Registration opened December 1, 2025, and this year it’s online only—no paper forms, no exceptions. Payment is required at the time of registration, so be ready when you click submit. Anglers can register RIGHT HERE. Once registration closes, the official roster will be posted by January 10, 2026, no later than noon MST.

There are also some big changes coming for 2026. Scoring will now focus on Walleye and Bass only, with Northern Pike officially removed from the lineup. The tournament is also shifting to a photo, catch-and-release format, keeping things competitive while protecting the fishery. Have questions or need more details?
