This week at Fort Peck, challenging weather stirred up the lake, but angler Don Wilkins found success. Walleye fishing slowed, requiring jigs and crawlers in 15-20 feet. Northern pike remain aggressive in 10-30 feet, while lakers are deeper at 60-110 feet. Some salmon also caught in deeper areas.
The Helena-area reservoirs are currently thriving for anglers, with solid catches of rainbow trout and walleyes reported across Canyon Ferry, Hauser, and Holter. Various fishing techniques, including trolling and shore fishing, are effective. Additionally, carp are attracting bow anglers, offering diverse fishing opportunities for all enthusiasts.
The Great Falls Family Fishing Day is set for Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to noon at Wadsworth Pond Park. This free event offers educational fishing clinics for all ages, including fish identification and knot tying. Participants can fish all day without a license after the clinic, promoting community engagement.

Walleye are being caught using bottom bouncers and jigs at 18-25 feet. Smallmouth fishing remains productive in shallow waters, while lake trout are moving deeper, found 40-75 feet down.
The Fresno Challenge has been cancelled due to unsafe water levels, as announced by Tournament Director Josh Parrow. Anglers are encouraged to attend the Tiber tournament instead or participate in the Rock Creek tournament still scheduled for the 6th and 7th, with registration still open for those affected.
FlowFishing.org is hosting a free virtual bass tournament from May 29th–31st, allowing busy anglers to compete on their own schedules. Participants can fish from anywhere and submit their best catches using specific rules. Although there are no cash prizes this time, participants earn FLOW POINTS for future tournaments.

Featuring huge payouts, a new Random Weight Side Pot, and a Photo, Catch, and Release format, the event promises excitement for anglers of all skill levels and includes community activities throughout the weekend.
