From October 14-18, angler effort and catch for steelhead increased on the Upper Salmon River, particularly downstream of North Fork, where the average was 45 hours per fish. Water levels were favorable at 1,140 cfs. Note that Clearwater basin steelhead harvest closes on October 21, but catch-and-release remains.
