Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks reported a potential nonviable invasive mussel larva found in Whitefish Lake, prompting further monitoring. Follow-up tests showed no live mussels or mussel DNA. Continuous sampling is planned, while boaters are encouraged to clean and inspect their watercraft to prevent possible infestations.
