Fort Peck Ice Fishing
We got to go ice fishing twice, not good ice and slow fishing. Sat. we caught 6 perch and 1 small northern. On Sunday, fishing was a little better but ice was worse. When a dog went through, we were done fishing. We caught 12 perch, 1 sauger, 1 walleye and a small northern. It was 50 degrees and water all over the ice, lots of open holes. On Saturday at Devils Creek a 4 wheeler went through, those fellows was able to get it out and no one got hurt, a couple other fellows ranger went through, they happened to be in fairly shallow water, so they were able to get it out. An Ice check on Monday afternoon at Devils Creek, showed lots of open water. Where we had been on Saturday, there was about a 10 acre open spot. Looks like our ice fishing is done, unless the weather really goes bad.
