I received a call from Dick Zimmer last night that the perch bite has started on Flathead Lake on the East Polson Bay. Zimmer said, he was out in the middle of the afternoon, on Wednesday, and managed to catch over 100 perch. Most of the perch ranged in size from 9-10 inches with an occasional perch in the 12 inch class. Zimmer was fishing in 4 feet of water while about 10 other boats were fishing in depths he figured that would range between 4-5 feet. “The perch were aggressive”, said Zimmer.

They were hitting on a piece of night crawler on the Zimmer Tackle perch special set-up. Water temperature got up 55 degrees on Wednesday, it should warm up a little more with the highs today predicted to be ranging in the high 70’s.
