Doubling The Attack On Aquatic Invasive Species

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is nearly doubling its efforts to catch watercraft infected with aquatic invasive species this year. Maybe you’ve seen one of the check stations while driving down the highway. It’s mandatory for watercraft owners to stop. Then FWP crews can inspect your watercraft for invasive species like zebra mussels or Eurasian watermilfoil. The increased number of inspectors was funded by the last Legislature. The crews have been deployed across the state, with attention given to Montana’s borders.
