Walleye Bite is Slow on Hauser Reservoir
By Matt Schauer

Posted: June 21, 2012

We fished Hauser on Wednesday, June 20, and it wasn’t very easy to catch walleyes. The water is still way too cold, at 52 to 53 degrees.

But the rainbows were biting really well. We used 1/8 oz glow white Flutter jig with a 3″ Gulp minnow for walleyes.  We couldn’t keep the rainbows off it.  They were in the 18″ to 21″ range and heavily bodied.

Hopefully the weather will warm up a bit more and we’ll begin to see more walleyes.
