The Bundy Bridge fishing access site is closed through Labor Day weekend, as construction crews replace a steel culvert under the access roadway. The bridge is near Pompeys Pillar, 30 miles east of Billings, and was damaged during flooding in July 2011.

After the floods, the culvert was temporarily reseated to allow limited public access to the Yellowstone River, throughout the winter. Earlier this month, the broken culvert was removed and the road was closed completely for construction.   FWP anticipates the site will reopen in one week, on Thursday, September 6, 2012.

To avoid heavy equipment and workers in the area, the site is closed to anglers and sportsmen travelling on foot.
