Every since I first watched Tom Selleck make extraordinary shots in “Quigley Down Under,” I have always been fascinated on long range shots. Granted I am a pretty good shot in the 500 yard range. Sneaking up within that range of game is not always possible. But with technology these days, taking shots beyond 500 yards is not rare. A person who tunes their skills, knows their rifle’s capabilities and can do simple math, can consistently make extraordinary shots.

There are gun manufactures that are customizing guns for long range shooters. There are even apps for your phone that can calculate ballistics. In long range shots, wind, altitude, humidity and even the curvature of the earth. In the following video, from long range master, a cow elk is harvested in Utah from 1296 yards.
