Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks needs your help.
A trophy mule deer buck was poached the morning of November 11th in Darby’s 270 hunting district ½” mile past the Mink Creek campground.
The game check volunteers described the incident to veteran hunter of the area, Jason Maxwell, saying that a witness watched an individual, with an older blue ford pickup, shoot the mule deer buck from the road. According to the witness, the person then exited the vehicle, cut the head off of the buck and fled the scene.
If you have any information on this, or any, poaching, please call the poaching hotline at 1-800-TIP-MONT.
