Chancy at Snappy’s reports that the fishing has been ok. Couple guys on the Koocanusa, been a little slow but doing pretty good trolling big flies behind the plainer boards with a few rapalas picking up trout, bulls, and a few kokannee. Lake Mcdonald up in the park, some guys have been getting some nice macks, and there’s a bunch of kokannee in there as well. Last Monday, Chancey was able to get on the Flathead River and did pretty well on Lake Superior Whitefish and Macks. Kind of murky and high, but the fishing is good. Thomson River been doing well, the lower end towards Clark Fork been pulling browns and rainbows. Hungry Horse Reservoir doing well trolling spoons and spinners on glow hooks.

Shelby from Rocky Mountain Supply in Dillon says hunting is outstanding. A lot of cows and state land bulls being brought out, the deer hunting is picking up. Fishing is still really good on Clark Canyon. Not a lot of fishing reports because of the last weekend of hunting season is usually active. If you’re in the Dillon area, stop into Rocky Mountain Supply for more information or call 406-683-2308.
