Commission Slated to Vote on Two Region 6 Land Issues Dec. 10

On Monday, December 10, the FWP Commission will meet to take action on three land matters. They will also listen to updates on the wolf hunting season and the upcoming wolf trapping season.

The conference will happen via conference call and is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. If you would like to participate in the call or share your public comment, stop by your regional office.  If you are in Havre, stop by the Great Northern Inn at 1345 1st Street and in Helena FWP’s headquarters at 1420 E. Sixth Ave.

Here is what will be discussed:

  • a 2,992-acre Milk River Ranch purchase north of Havre
  • a 981-acre purchase that would become part of the existing Seven Sisters Wildlife Management Area on the Yellowstone River near Sidney
  • the donation of 1,050 acres on the Missouri River southwest of Big Sandy
