State game wardens continue to seek information to help solve the October case of a cow moose illegally shot in the Little Belt Mountains south of Great Falls. The moose was shot and left while her two calves stood nearby.

Publicity over the incident led to private monetary pledges to help solve the crime. A potential $2,000 reward remains unclaimed. The reward includes money available through Fish, Wildlife and Parks TIPMONT program.

The shooting took place in the early morning of Oct. 25 on private property along Belt Park Road, near Harley Park.

Two young of the year calves were found standing by the poached moose.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call 1-800-TIPMONT. Rewards are available through the TIPMONT program and informants are kept confidential.
