This is Joe from the Yellowstone Country Bear Hunters Association with your weekly bear hunting tip.

Adding a decoy such as a foam fawn or calf can bring your calling success to another level. New born deer and elk will soon be hitting the ground and mature bears will be frequenting these calving/fawning areas looking for an easy nutritious meal. These mature bears have used these locations and will often return year after year to feed. Utilization of a fawn distress call and a fawn decoy can be a surefire way to get your adrenaline pumping and fill your spring bear tag.
