A South Carolina man was out fishing on jon boat a few years ago, and he didn’t have a livewell, so he brought a large cooler with a portable aerator to hold the fish he and his buddy caught that day. Well, his buddy caught a bass and put it in the makeshift livewell, and closed the cooler lid. When he opened the lid on the cooler to check on the fish, the bass “went crazy” and jumped out of the cooler, knocked the aerator off and landed back in the water.
So, just be careful when opening the cooler! If this were a fishing tournament, or if that were a possible record catch, just imagine how distraught a person would be! I guess, you just can’t fight the will to live that some fish possess.
