Montana is spectacular from the ground, but some of the natural features of our landscape need a bird’s eye view to really show just how amazing our state is. For example, the featured photo of Grand Prismatic Springs in Yellowstone National Park. An amazing geological feature from the ground, but from the air it is truly spectacular!

That is the idea behind Smithsonian Channel’s hit series “Aerial America”, and they are planning to feature Big Sky Country in their series this evening, Sunday July 21, at 7 p.m. The series is one of the most expansive aerial television series ever produced. Tonights episode features some of the most beautiful and historic sights Montana has to offer, including Glacier National Park, Virginia City, Pompeys Pillar, the Blackfoot River, The Old Works Golf Course, Mission Falls and Helena.
